Troop 260 is dedicated to developing our boys into young men.  We pride ourselves on getting our boys out to other councils’ summer camps every other year, so the boys can experience scouting from a broader view.   In the Summer of 2012 we are traveling to Camp New Fork near Pinedale, Wyoming for summer camp.  We are also planning on riding the Mickelson Trail, a 106 mile converted train grade that travels from Deadwood, SD to Edgemont, SD.

We endeavor to be the troop for boys who participate in other activities.  We have high school varsity athletes in football, wrestling, soccer, and baseball.  We have younger boys who participate in many club sports, plus we have boys who participate in marching band competitions.  Scouting can fit in many young men’s lives, and will enrich them all.

As of March 15, 2011, we have 40 registered Scouts in our Troop that are divided into 3 patrols.

Troop 260 meets on Tuesdays at New Hope Presbyterian Church in Castle Rock, CO.

Our meetings run from 7 pm to 8:30 pm.

If you would like more information or to come visit a meeting, you can contact us by phone or email.  You can contact the Scoutmaster (Pat Jones) at 303 660 8526 or you may email us at: Scoutmaster@castlerocktroop260.org
